Deirdre Ní Cheallaigh
Deirdre Ní Cheallaigh is a development practitioner with 16 years' experience in the sector. She specialises in Gender Equality and HIV and has a deep personal commitment to both issues. She has lived and worked in Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Myanmar and provided technical support to Women's Empowerment, Gender-Based Violence, and HIV Programmes in 12 countries across Central America, Africa, and Asia. Deirdre has extensive experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of Women's Empowerment, GBV, and HIV interventions and more than five years' experience in a variety of management and leadership roles. She has also been involved in commissioning research and applying research findings to enhance programme quality and learning. Deirdre worked extensively to advance policy improvements on Gender and HIV and has represented the Civil Society on a number of high-level committees.
